The region is never more beautiful than it is in the fall foliage season when billowing warm hues color the landscape for as far as the eye can see. A late autumn afternoon drive along the Kancamagus Highway is one of the most beautiful sights you can experience in New England.
Situated in the heart of the mountains in scenic Lincoln, NH, South Peak is prime real estate for those looking to take in the sights of the season. Quick and easy access to several mountain peaks and the Kancamagus allows enthusiasts to take in the oceans of bright red, deep orange, and golden yellows that stretch for miles. Foliage begins turning color in late September, with peak color expected in the second and third week of October, though this may change from year to year.

If you prefer a more active experience, South Peak and Loon Mountain Resorts have a variety of terrain to mountain bike or hike through the blaze of bright autumn foliage. A 1-mile family-friendly trail that begins at the entrance of South Peak Resort and runs adjacent to the Pemi river. This leisurely route is lined with beautiful wildflowers and is a serene, peaceful place to walk during the brisk autumn months. Dog-friendly as long as they remain leashed.South Peak Escape Route
A 2.3 mile moderately challenging loop trail great for walking, hiking, skiing, and snowshoeing. Open year-round but especially pictueresque in the fall.East Ridge Trail
A 2.3 mile circular trail near Lincoln. Generally considered an easy route for tose just looking to take a stroll, relax, and enjoy the foliage.Serendipity Loop Trail
