LEARN TO SKI
In addition to a comprehensive ski and ride program for kids, Loon offers lessons for adults, and you can purchase a lift ticket just for access to the beginner area. Loon has 63 trails across three peaks – A variety of terrain, with something for skiers at all ski levels. Loon’s dedicated family slopes make it one of the best New Hampshire ski resorts for learning to ski and an excellent choice for families.

HIKE & WALK
At its essence, living at South Peak is about enjoying the natural beauty of the White Mountains. For some, it’s a daily walk-and-talk through the neighborhood; for others, the 6-hour-strenuous Mount Lafayette and Franconia Ridge Trail Loop which ascend three peaks, including the highest mountain outside the Presidential Range – Mount Lafayette.

South Peak Resort is an excellent starting point for snowmobilers looking to explore the beauty and excitement of the White Mountains, which offers over 1,000 miles of trails open to snowmobiles and provides a range of difficulty levels, from beginner to expert. Home to the White Mountain National Forest, Lincoln is known as one of the most snowmobile-friendly parts of the state; many Lincoln shops, restaurants, and lodgings offer trailer parking to give you the easiest possible access to the nearby mountains and trails.

SNOWBOARDING
For the freestyle snowboarders in your crew, Loon Mountain offers six terrain parks that differ in size for skiers and riders of all ability levels. From mellow, gladed terrain perfect for learning and gaining confidence to our award-winning Loon Mountain Park with 80+ features that include 50+ jibs & numerous jump line options. Loon Mountain is also home to the only Super Pipe in New Hampshire.

ICE SKATING
The town of Lincoln, NH, is home to several outdoor ice skating rinks. The Riverwalk has an outdoor rink open evenings and weekend days through mid-March. Plymouth State College and Waterville Valley also have ice arenas with public skate hours.

SNO-GO BIKES
SNO-GO Ski Bikes are the fastest growing new winter sport and a new way to experience winter resorts. Easier to learn than skiing and snowboarding. You’ll be shredding the entire mountain by the end of your first day. SNO-GO Ski Bikes can be rented at Loon Mountain Resort.

Swimming
The Pemi river is long, beautiful and complete with swimming holes and big rocks for basking in the sun. Great for tubing, kayaking and swimming.
Hiking
Whether you’re getting ready to hike, bike, trail run, or explore other outdoor activities, the Lincoln area has 78 scenic trails to explore including easy nature walks, kid-friendly routes, trails with historic sights to some of the most challenging and reqawding hikes on the east coast.
Golf
The western white mountains are home to some of the best golf courses in the region, with a variety of public and private courses offering stunning mountain views. If you’re up for trying something a little different, Loon offers Disc golf, a flying disc sport in which players throw a disc at a target; it is played using rules similar to golf.

Mountain Biking
South Peak Residents have a variety of terrain to mountain bike or hike. Loon’s 9 miles of downhill mountain bike trails provide a satisfying experience for both beginners and seasoned riders with various freeride, technical, and cross-country trails.

GONDOLA FOLIAGE RIDES
New Hampshire’s longest scenic Gondola Skyride to the summit of Loon Peak. A 1.3-mile scenic ride to the summit of Loon Peak where you can relax in a high alpine world of refreshing breezes and stunning mountain views.

Community Fire Pits
South Peak Residents have access to multiple patios with Adirondack chairs and firepits. Perfect for Apres Ski in winter and conversation on warm summer nights. Smores are optional but recommended.
