In partnership with Loon Mountain Resort and RiverWalk Resort, South Peak Resort is thrilled to announce the building of New England’s first pulse-movement Gondola lift, projected to open during the 2025/26 winter season.

“Partnering with Loon and RiverWalk on this new lift aligns with our long-term vision to develop distinctive amenities and experiences for South Peak residents, guests, and the great town of Lincoln,” said Mark Bogosian, developer of South Peak Resort.

The Doppelmayr-designed lift features enclosed cabins with floor-to-ceiling windows. It will transport passengers nearly 1,300 feet across the Pemi River from its South Peak terminal near Loon’s new Timbertown chairlift and South Peak’s Fireside Ski-on, Ski-off Residences, which are expected to break ground this year.

The new gondola will give South Peak residents and their guests a convenient and scenic ride over the Pemi River to go shopping and visit restaurants at Riverwalk, Village Shops, and Lincoln’s Main Street.

The return trip brings the same convenience to Riverwalk guests, quickly connecting them to expanded ski terrain and exciting new amenities planned for South Peak Resort. “It’s about creating a vibrant, interconnected community,” said Dennis Ducharme, president of RiverWalk Resort

The installation of the lift is scheduled to begin in spring 2025.
