1st Annual Lincoln Holiday Lights Tree Lighting & Fireworks

Join us December 6th for a CommunityTree Lighting at the Mills Marketplace

Updated 22 Nov 2025

South Peak Resort and the Mills Marketplace are transforming Lincoln’s Main Street into a winter wonderland this December 6th, marking the inaugural Lincoln Holiday Lights celebration. This free community event promises an afternoon of festivities, including the lighting of a 30-foot spruce tree and a fireworks display.

From 2-7 PM, The Mills Marketplace will host local families and visitors for an event that combines holiday traditions with North Country hospitality. The centerpiece—a towering spruce sourced from Glove Hollow Christmas Tree Farm in Plymouth—will stand ready for its 5 PM lighting ceremony, immediately followed by fireworks illuminating Lincoln’s skyline.

The afternoon’s schedule builds to this moment with performances by the Lin-Wood School Chorus, while Santa meets and greets kids for photos. Local restaurants and shops throughout The Mills will feature seasonal specials, while the South Peak Coffee Cart serves coffee and cocoa for the occasion.

Support Local Families with a Gift
Beyond the festivities, the event serves as a collection point for three community initiatives. The Mills Marketplace will accept donations for the Woodstock/Lincoln Rotary’s Holiday Gift Giving Drive, helping local families during the holiday season. Loon Mountain Ministries will collect ski gear donations for distribution to Lincoln-Woodstock community members who need equipment. The Rotary Interact Club’s Festival of Lights will showcase trees decorated by local businesses, with guests voting for their favorites throughout the afternoon.

The Mills Marketplace sits at the heart of Lincoln’s Main Street, with parking available at the Lin-Wood School lot. The event is free and open to all, though organizers encourage bringing a donation for the community gift drive if possible. Inside The Mills, heated spaces provide relief from December weather, while outdoor attractions like the fire pit and maple taffy station offer traditional winter experiences. The marketplace’s restaurants and shops will remain open throughout the holiday shopping season.

Creating New Traditions
Organizers hope this event becomes an annual tradition for Lincoln. Whether you’re a Lincoln resident or visiting the White Mountains for the weekend, Lincoln Holiday Lights promises an afternoon of community and celebration in the heart of New Hampshire’s mountain country.

South Peak Resort would like to thank Riverwalk Resort, The Woodstock/Lincoln Rotary, The Lin-Wood School Chorus, and Loon Mountain Ministries for their partnership in creating this event.
