South Peak Resort Named ‘Best Place to Own a Ski House’

Boston Magazine’s 2025 New England Travel Awards named South Peak Resort the ‘Best Place to Own a Ski House’

South Peak Resort has been recognized as “Best Place to Own a Ski House” in Boston Magazine’s 2025 New England Travel Awards, published in the October issue. The award arrives as South Peak experiences its most active construction season to date, with 27 custom homes currently underdevelopment and significant amenity and infrastructure projects reshaping Lincoln, NH, as New England’s premier four-season mountain destination only two hours from Boston.

Construction Momentum Accelerates

This season marks unprecedented growth at South Peak. Ten new families have already moved into completed custom homes, and builders are currently constructing 27 additional properties. Each represents a unique collaboration between homeowners and South Peak’s network of approved architects and builders. Each delivering homes tailored to individual visions while maintaining architectural harmony within the resort.

“Our homeowners watch their investment grow as the mountain and the village evolve around them. We’re developing the complete experience.” Mark Bogosian, Developer

Alpine Drive: South Peak’s newest slopeside neighborhood, is also underway. The project adds 30 premium homesites and introduces an innovative bridge design allowing vehicles to pass below while skiers traverse Loon Mountain’s Fox Run Trail above. At elevations reaching 1,022 feet, these sites command sweeping western views across Loon Valley and the White Mountains. Offering a dramatic setting for future residences.

Ember Court at Fireside: With 15 of 16 Phase One units under contract, Phase Two construction is underway with new listings expected soon. Each Fireside home combines luxury modern mountain aesthetics with practical amenities. You’ll find heated tile floors, EV charging stations, private gear storage, and contemporary kitchens.

The Nest: Adjacent to the Pemi Base Lodge, this semi-private owners’ club is under construction and scheduled to open in 2026. The facility will include private lockers, a golf simulator, concierge services, and a public restaurant. This provides South Peak homeowners year-round amenities steps from the slopes.

Transforming the Slopeside Experience:  South Peak Developer Mark Bogosian sees the resort’s evolution as more than construction. “We’re reimagining what the slopeside experience means in New England. South Peak isn’t just about real estate – it’s about creating a place where you park your car on Friday and don’t think about it again until Sunday. Everything you need is here or a gondola ride away.”

Mills Marketplace: South Peak’s culinary and social hub continues to expand. Snowfish Sushi and the Bluebird Martini Bar opened last spring, followed by South Peak’s acquisition and rebranding of One Love Brewery as Basecamp Brewing. Timber Wood Fired Pizza joined the lineup on Columbus Day weekend, strengthening Lincoln’s downtown dining scene.

Loon Mountain Expansion Enhances On-Mountain Experience

Loon’s Flight Path 2030 expansion adds 295 acres of western terrain, including trails for all abilities and 139 acres of gladded skiing. A permanent lodge will replace the Pemi Base Camp tent, upgrading the South Peak base area. Construction is also underway on the Pulse Gondola, New England’s first. The 1,300-foot Doppelmayr system features 12 cabins and will connect South Peak directly to downtown Lincoln’s Mills Marketplace when it opens in 2026. This collaboration between Loon Mountain Resort, RiverWalk Resort, and South Peak will provide year-round access from the slopes to the village in minutes.

As South Peak continues its remarkable ascent, driven by innovative design, expanding amenities, and deepening connections to Loon Mountain and downtown Lincoln, it’s clear why the community has been recognized as the premier place to build a life in the mountains. With unmatched year-round convenience, elevated on-mountain access, and a vibrant village just a gondola ride away, South Peak offers more than luxury real estate: it offers a true sense of arrival. For families seeking a ski house that enhances every season and grows in value as the resort evolves, South Peak stands alone as New England’s most compelling mountain destination.
