A Magical Evening at The Mills

From the moment you arrive at The Mills Marketplace, you’ll be swept up in the holiday spirit. Standing tall at the heart of the celebration will be a majestic 30-foot Christmas tree. Its sparkling lights setting the perfect backdrop for a night of magic. Inside The Mills, the halls will be beautifully decorated, creating a cozy atmosphere that radiates warmth and cheer.

Throughout the afternoon, local restaurants and shops inside The Mills will feature exclusive holiday specials designed to make your visit extra delicious. Whether you’re craving a hearty seasonal meal, a cozy holiday cocktail, or a sweet treat to share with friends, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Don’t forget to stop by the coffee cart, where you can indulge in festive drinks crafted especially for the occasion. The Main Event: Tree Lighting and Fireworks

At 5 PM sharp, gather with your friends and neighbors for the highlight of the evening. The lighting of the magnificent Christmas tree! As the countdown begins, anticipation fills the air. When the lights finally come to life, illuminating the tree in a dazzling display of color and sparkle, you’ll feel the magic of the holidays truly come alive.

But the celebration doesn’t end there — look to the sky as a stunning fireworks show follows the tree lighting! Watch as bursts of color dance above the mountains, creating an unforgettable sight that will mark the start of a new Lincoln tradition.

The Christmas Tree Lighting event is all about creating lasting memories for the whole family. Be sure to visit our photo booth with Santa Claus, where kids (and kids at heart) can share their Christmas wishes and snap a keepsake photo with the jolly man himself. Outside, you’ll find a crackling firepit. The perfect spot for roasting marshmallows and making s’mores with loved ones. The smell of toasted marshmallows and melted chocolate will add an extra dash of nostalgia to this cheerful gathering.

Bring a Gift & Spread the Cheer

As part of this community celebration, the Mills Marketplace is proud to serve as a drop-off center for the Lincoln Woodstock Rotary’s Community Chest program. This heartwarming initiative helps bring holiday joy to families in need across the community. Guests are encouraged to bring a gift to donate, your generosity will make a meaningful difference this season.

In addition, the Mills Marketplace is also a featured location for the Festival of Lights Christmas Tree Project! Local businesses have come together to decorate stunning Christmas trees throughout The Mills. While you’re here, take a stroll through the displays and cast your vote for your favorite tree.

Parking & Shuttle Information

To make your visit easy and enjoyable, complimentary event parking will be available at Lin-Wood Public School and South Peak Resort. A free shuttle service will run continuously between these locations and The Mills Marketplace throughout the event, ensuring everyone can get to and from the celebration safely and conveniently. Simply park, hop on the shuttle, and enjoy a stress-free ride to all the holiday fun!
